I used yup update to download the update. Unfortunately after it installed a few packages there was a power cut off and computer switched off

then i used yum-complete-transaction

but this is what it gives...

i dont know what to do...it was a 900 mb update and fedora keeps hanging so update may solve the problem.

Gaurav segmentation fault refers to unauthorized access to the segment (yum accessing). Try clean the yum cache & update yum first or reinstall yum then go on.

thank you so much for the reply sir....but i guess its something strange. Maybe i have to make a new topic and ask . My installation hung like 10 times...when i managed to install it keeps hanging after some time...even the update that i downloaded is not able to solve the problem.

I tried installing with other dvds..but still it hangs. I installed it on my friends laptop it works fine. Memory test is successful .
