Hello All,

Myself Abha,i have installed linux mandriva 2009 distribution.but the problem is that when i run mysql services like phpmyadmin than it shows login for mysql ,and give following msg

"#2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured)#2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured)"

Please help me to solve this problem.

Abaha,

phpMyadmin is not MySQL server,its just a web-based frontend. Install MySQL server. You can find it on your Mandriva-2009 DVD.

Try to see the MySQL server status by running this command as root.

service mysqld status
