linux can run regedit without any problems using WINE.

there should be no confusion about this... linux can run most of the programs made for windows

hi ,

most applications use an ordinary text file to store their configuration in. This means, such an registry editor is not really feasible.

Windows registry tends to grow to the point it becomes slow. Corrupt that one file and the whole system becomes unusable.

Linux doesn't need any registry editor..........

the reason is that is doesn't use registries to store it's configuration.
Linux uses different way to store it's configuration and this is done with the help of different files,
where as wine is a compatibility layer which bridges the communication gap between Linux & application program of windows.

so wine contains a registry editor same as windows in order to emulate is environment & runs windows applications.

I am giving seminar on Wine.
If you want to know about Linux/Wine you should attend the seminar at DAVV auditorium 30th sep.
it is free of cost & with exciting prizes
